Crosswinds International has been a training and coaching client of Embrace Communities since July 2022 and joined the Empowered Communities Network in September of 2022. Crosswinds serves an informal settlement community in Nairobi, Kenya providing a meal six days a week to between 1,000 and 1,600 people per day.

Each day hundreds of people lined up ask for jobs. Crosswinds is actively pursuing ways to bring employment opportunities to the community. During the ABCD training, Crosswinds began asking community members how to go about bringing change.

Upon completion of their training in August of 2022, Crosswind's began a listening project ambitiously setting a goal of 2,000 interviews. There are currently six youth between 18-25 years of age conducting the interviews with locals supervising, preparing data analysis and the results. We are excitedly looking forward to see how the community will change and grow through this process of seeking internal change and external partners.
