The United Methodist of Upper New York

Body

The United Methodist of Upper New York cohort brought together eight of the most innovative leaders in the Upper New York Conference. The pastoral leaders were from a variety of contexts including. urban, rural, and suburban areas across the region. Some were well established churches, one was a church planter, one was in a cooperative parish consisting of eleven churches, and one was working with incarcerated individuals. Each of these pastoral leaders discerned the unique path forward based on their context and the gifts of their communities. Some will be focusing on utilizing ABCD internally in their congregation, some will engage youth, others will partner with other institutions, and some will support the work of their peers. This cohort will transition to a Power Shift Part 2 community of practice in 2024 with cohort members receiving group coaching and two conference representatives receiving individual coaching.
