Embrace Centers for Community is seeking to establish health-focused community hubs in under utilized United Methodist Churches in the western part of Virginia. The first such hub is up and running in Waynesboro, VA with the second site under development in Covington, VA.  Embrace Centers is seeking to go beyond resource navigation services that are offered through their Community Assistance Network (CAN) by applying an ABCD approach that utilizes the CommUnity Powered Framework. Founder Jenelle Watson, was introduced to ABCD in 2017 through a training sponsored by the Staunton District of the UMC and completed the full Power Shift Part 1 training in 2024.  Embrace Centers is an active coaching client with staff members participating in Implementation Coaching and Power Shift Part 2 in 2025.   Learn more at Embrace Centers.
